Rock climbing
I climb rocks since I'm 9 in a local rock climbing club.
I've been competing for 2 years but I was to busy to keep competeting when I got into high-school.
bEginners Training
In my rock climbing club, I'm in charge of the security of a group of children from 8 to 10 yo for at least 1h30 a every week.
My role is mainly about teaching them safety rules that are mandatory to abide by. For instance, they need to learn basic knots and belaying knowledge so they can belay each other safely. Rock climbing can quickly turn out to be a dangerous activity. It even more is for unexperienced climbers such as the ones I train. Spreading awareness toward them is a big responsibility to assume.
Furthermore, i help them surpassing them self overstep their fears, especially the fear of vacuum that is common with beginners.
Tutorship
I give private lessons to junior high-school student since September 2017. I help her to understand her courses, and to properly doing her homework. Besides the fact that it makes me earn a little bit of money, it is really important for me that she would succeed in the end. My understanding of scientist subjects has brought me some facilities to explain her mathematics, physics and biology. Because she've shown some amenities in language subjects, I help her going deeper on this field of learning. Furthermore, it made me realize that teaching involves a big responsability toward both of the child's parents and the child him/herself.
Travels
I deeply love travelling and going abroad. Since I'm little, my parents made me travel around Europe. We've been to Italia & Spain several times, we visited Morocco, England, Guadalupe, and NY city together. However, since I'm 15 I've discovered what travelling by myself feels like, by going alone to Russia (with 4 classmates). There, we all were host by muscovite host families. I thus discovered what "meet the culture" really meant : talking and living with my hosts felt really exotic and I learned about new customs, ways of life. I wanted too retry this experiment on a longer duration. Right after I met Chinese culture within the framework Confucius institute culture-language trips, I flew to Taiwan in order to spend a student-exchange year there. I was host by locals again and shared their habits and culture during 11 months. It felt more than a simple travel, it felt like a new lif, something completely different. I got used to a totally unusual environment and languages (Chinese+Taiwanese) , I traveled a lot to discover this small but wonderful country.
As well, during this year, I met 50 other exchange students who I really forged links with.
I also love traveling because of the language-learning skills it enhances. I now can speak proficient Chinese and English.
I could not expect my future to be built without studying, living or working abroad.
