In second grade of French Hisgh School, within the framework of one of my A-Level papers, I've worked on a documentary research work with 3 other students, including a Chinese student.
We lead our work to discuss the following questions : "How do evolve the solutions found by human-kind to substitute one or several parts of his own body ? How do those techniques work out ? What are the ethic issues raised by the use of these techniques ?".
We have lead documentary research works on prothesis, artificial organs, stem cells, and transplants. All of our work is related in the website linked below (French) :
As well, we have designed a prototype for human forefinger prothesis.
The Project got rewarded by a 19/20 mark.

En classe de première, dans le cadre des épreuves anticipées du baccalauréat j'ai monté un projet de Travaux Personnels Encadrés avec trois autres élèves dont un sinophone. Notre travail porte sur la problématique suivante : "Comment évoluent les solutions dont l’être humain dispose pour substituer un composant défaillant de son organisme ? Comment fonctionnent ces techniques ? Quels problèmes éthiques ces solutions peuvent elles créer ?" ". Nous avons donc fait des recherches sur les prothèses, les organes artificiels, les cellules souches et les greffes, et avons ensuite mené une réflexion morale sur ces sujets. Nous avons aussi conçu une prothèse de doigt pour l'épreuve orale des TPE.
